Alex is a cute young man with a wonderful smile that was a pleasure to draw. Unlike the drawing that I did of him at his work station at Target, this drawing is done from an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. This image was wonderful to work with because you could see his face and the great smile. I decided not to draw his teeth because you have to be ever so care with your line work so as not to ruin the image. When you apply the pen & ink it is always a risk, and I hated to risk the nice portrait that was started. Alex from Target 368A The celebrity drawing is done in fine point pen & ink. I made a point of keeping the drawing simple because Alex is so young. It is always easy to draw old people because they have so many lines and intricate shadows that you can work with. However, it is always a challenge to draw young people, especially babies! Drawing Characteristics Characteristics of this celebrity drawing are the contour lines that make his face and mouth. The contour lines did a good job of rendering his smile.
